Thomas Jefferson’s words seem to reverberate in my mind.  As we have hosted Constitution Classes over the last couple years, I can’t tell you how many times I have heard students say, “How have I not known this stuff before?”  As I have told them many times in class, I think the principles of our form of government have been intentionally removed from our educational and public institutions.  Patriots have been silenced, and we are seeing it now more than ever.  As a result, Thomas Jefferson’s prophecy is coming true and tyranny is gaining significant footholds in our land.  Our freedom and American form of limited, Constitutional government is under attack like never before. 

What to do about it?

As we consider the situation, many people have asked, “What can I do?”.  So, we began looking at that question in this new series of articles.  In our last article in this series, we talked about the question, “What can I do?”  We discussed the significance and importance of coming to the point where we are asking that question.  We discussed the importance of prayer and specifically, the need for national and personal repentance for our many sins against God.  Now we want to begin discussing different ways, different organizations, different parts of the fight, if you will, where patriots can plug into the effort to save our nation. 

A chapter from our story

A couple years ago, Patriot Academy offered a deal that seemed too good to be true.  They were allowing people to register as a Constitution Coach with their organization – for FREE.  Being a coach enabled someone to view all the assorted Patriot Academy classes.  At this point, we owned the DVDs for Constitution Alive, so we knew the material was good.  We were amazed we could get digital access to all of the classes free without even an obligation to teach any additional students.  It seemed like a great way to get access to some great homeschool material at no charge – that never happens!  So we were excited to sign up, just to share the material with our children.  However, as we went on through the covid lockdowns and witnessed governments at all levels abusing their powers and saw the impacts of this tyranny, we began to realize our freedom and American way of life were being threatened with disaster!   About this time, Rick Green with Patriot Academy issued a challenge for all the registered coaches to host a class.  It could be a small class, maybe in our home for just a couple friends, but he challenged all of us to host a class.  At this point, we felt we needed to offer an online class via Zoom.  We advertised our class on social media, and before we knew it, we had 176 people registered for our class!  Since that time, we have been hooked and have continued to regularly host classes via Zoom. 

Opportunity is Still There…

The great news is that Patriot Academy still offers their coach license free of charge.  It still includes free, online access to all the Patriot Academy class materials.  So, you too can take advantage of this offer.  Of course, you also run the risk of Rick Green issuing another challenge and the Lord potentially moving your heart to start hosting classes…  but the access is free!  😊  In this series about potential places you can plug in to be part of the fight to save our country, it seems very natural to recommend being a Patriot Academy Constitution Coach.  We love hosting these courses and sharing this material and we love hearing from the students and how they are taking what they’ve learned and using it to get involved and do things.  We have received many encouraging notes from students telling us how they have gotten involved, how they started asking great questions of those around them running for political office.  We have seen them make contributions to Patriot Academy, and donate to help young folks get the tuition they need to participate in the Patriot Academy Leadership Congress.  We have even seen our students run for office.  I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to see and hear this kind of thing, and to know we had a small part in it. 

Friends all over the country

Several times, when we were travelling, or someone else was travelling, we have been able to meet up with people we know from our classes.  Sometimes we visit each other’s homes or church, sometimes we meet at a restaurant to share a meal.  Often, we see their familiar faces at Patriot Academy events.  What a blessing it is to be in this fight!  What a joy to see the momentum building and to be part of such a wonderful community of Patriots!  How incredible it is to see the truths of our founding documents going out to Americans and see the resulting impacts in people’s lives.  We cannot recommend highly enough what a blessing it is to be a Patriot Academy Constitution Coach.  We now know patriots all over the country and love it when we have the opportunity to see one another and share observations of how this material is changing lives, and turning the tide in our country.

The higher levels that require payment come with the opportunity to have an affiliate commission on the sale of books, and the ability to receive discounts when purchasing Patriot Academy materials.  You will not get rich on these sales, but they are a nice help to cover some of the expenses you will undoubtedly run into along the way.  So, if that sounds interesting then by all means, I understand!  Otherwise, I definitely recommend you at least start with the free, Licensed Coach, option, and then later upgrade if you see an opportunity where selling books and materials would be a blessing.
