Encourage Each Other in the Truth

stories that encourage

Encourage is the “E” in R.E.C.I.P.E.

What did you think about history class back in school?  I am willing to bet your answer to that question has much to do with how the material was presented to you.  If you had lists of dates and events to memorize, then undoubtedly, history was dry and boring.  However, if you were invited into the stories, and shared the exciting lives of those who God used to shape our country, your experience was likely far different.

history through stories

Regardless of your experience in history class, we want to provide hope to the modern-day Patriot of our nation and one key ingredient of our recipe for saving America is that we would all learn and be encouraged by the incredible stories of our national history and enjoy hearing and seeing the way God worked in amazing ways to provide for, and often to deliver, Americans from the threat of trouble.  There are remarkable stories to tell about how God has worked throughout our history, and even that He is still working today.  It is our hope that in this way we can encourage patriots to see this is not the first time America has found herself threatened by those who hate her.  God has delivered us many times before and He can certainly do it again!

WHere’s the hope?

Over the last couple years, we have seen the American form of government attacked by those who hate it and those who would destroy our freedom.  We have also seen, however, amazing stories that have clearly shown that many American people still retain that fight in their heart that has always defined our nation.  We have seen business owners defy tyrannical “orders” by government officials that were far outside their legitimate authority.  We have seen County Sheriffs step up to fulfill their role of resisting unlawful “orders” and standing in the gap to protect citizens in their counties.  We have seen Pastors stand up for the religious freedom of their churches.  We have seen parents who have said “Enough is enough” and are standing up to school boards who have inserted everything from Marxism to pornography into the curriculum and lesson plans of their children.  There are tons of great things happening all around us!  There are also countless stories throughout our history that demonstrate how God works on behalf of those who love Him.  Our nation and form of government was built on the assumption that Americans would be knowledgeable participants in our government.  So, these stories of Americans standing up for what is right – these stories are not revolutionary – they are the way this nation was designed to work.

who are you listening to?

We can know for certain that the mainstream media will not be covering these encouraging stories, because these things run counter to their evil agenda for our nation.  We want to tell these stories, and point you to other resources that also tell these stories, so you don’t just sit there thinking there is nothing encouraging out there!   But since there are two completely different narratives being presented to us now, we have to decide which we will allow to shape our perception of what is going on.  If I watch the news all day and allow their lies to dominate my thoughts, they will not present the good things that are happening and I will be discouraged.  If I look instead for the truth of what God is doing in the lives of His people, and allow myself to think about God’s faithfulness and to see the evidence of it all around me, then my life will be much happier and I will be far more prepared to stand up for what is right and stand against what is wrong in this country!

We hope you will enjoy the content you will find on PatriotsHope.com.  We hope you will be encouraged at the amazing ways God has provided for our nation over and over again!  We also hope you will join us in prayer that He will do that for us again today!

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Psalm 33:4

Hi I have been spending a little time on your site, VERY nice job! I like all of it 🙂
I have been thinking about something similar to your “where to start” section, which is at the bottom of the page on encouraging each other in truth. I wonder if there is a way to cross pollinate some solid Biblical/conservative groups to build momentum. For example a few that we love and support are “The American Story” podcast (https://theamericanstorypodcast.org/) and My Faith Votes. https://www.myfaithvotes.org/

Again thanks for putting your great site together!

Thank you! I definitely agree that the more that like-minded folks can work together, the better! Thank you again for your encouraging comment!

Jason, this was nicely put together. Addressing the above comment, ‘American Campfire Revival’ brings together three great disciplines that have the same goal of changing the direction the United States of America is headed. Kirk Cameron, Mark Meckler, and Rick Green respectively represent American Campfire, Convention of States, and Patriot’s Academy. Praise God for their united efforts to bring healing under the leadership and recognition of God. I have noted the Old Testament ups and downs of God’s Chosen People is now taking place with disciples of Christ. Let us unite in prayer under God’s love, grace, and glory. as we repent of our wrong doing.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, the stories of great Americans from the past need to be told. It is amazing also how God has worked in the history of this nation. If we tell those stories from the past, it encourages us because we see what God has done and it is then much easier to see that if we turn from our sinful ways, He may choose to rescue us once again. Thank you again!

Well, it’s now 2023 and America is in a worse mess than when these people spoke up. I am grateful for those people who lead the way during the COVID mess. I am glad our Arizona Governor didn’t lock us down. I was also glad I could attend a Sunday service.
I have been listening to Class 3 of Biblical Citizenship and I am so thankful I have been educated by Patriot Academy, Wallbuilders Radio, online, and Kirk Cameron’s Campfire Revival. I am seeking truth from original sources because I don’t trust what is at the public library.

I’m excited to learn there are more people realizing we have to stand together. I am seeking people in my area who are willing to stand together to bring America back to a Constitutional Republic.

Yes, but I also think that Americans are waking up now more than ever. I think if we repent and return to God, then He will heal our land. At least I know He can do that. I dont know His plans for us, but our job is to be faithful. Duty is ours, Results are God’s. Thank you for your comment!

We are hands and feet and as we continue in pray and keep our focus, He will direct us.
As we grow our faith, our boldness is an eye opener for our HOPE is in HIM and the Fear (false evidence appears real)
of the world that looks to harness us has no hold. Amazing Grace. Our continued prayers, His direction. our obedience.
We are given our opportunity to share and reintroduce our foundation, with the church once again, back in the public square.
The real American Story, shared and His Divine Prominence felt across the masses.
    He is connecting us all.

Amen, I believe the Lord is working in the hearts of Americans and waking us up to the duties He would have us involved with. I pray we will indeed wake up and turn from our wicked ways and cry out to Him in repentance, and that He will choose to heal our land. Thank you for your comment.

I was blessed with a staunchly Bible-believing, Republican, America-loving father of mostly Powhatan and Blackfoot First Nation ancestry. He shared Truth about American history, particularly the ills of the Democrat Party. (I remember having to tell my elementary school classmates that Abraham Lincoln was a
Republican; they thought he was a Democrat because he freed the slaves. Yikes!!!)
Before and after serving in World War II, he worked for the House Representative for Mercer County in NW Pennsylvania, where he was raised. He wanted his family to be raised in Washington, DC., so my sister and I were born, raised and educated there.
History classes were affirming due to dad’s instruction. Ancient and Medieval history was reinforced by his Biblical and church history instruction.
Considering false narratives, I have been amazed and saddened by how many “spirited fellowships” (debates) I have had with professing Christians over topics such as the Democrat platform, abortion, sexual perversion – especially being taught in our schools. These people have adopted secular, anti-God “values” in the name of compassion and loving one another. It is not loving to withhold truth and watch folks skip their way to hell.

Thank you for your comment and for sharing your thoughts on things you learned from your father. What a blessing for you to have had him share truth with you. I agree it is not loving to withhold truth! Unfortunately, there are many folks in both parties that are not spreading truth. We have to hold these folks accountable. Thank you again!

Thank you for the encouraging words as there are days when the effort to restore right from wrong in our country feels so hopeless and irreversible.

I am reminded of a passage out of the book of Mathew, chapter 10, vv 7-8:

And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. (NASB)

When we do theses commands of Christ we will also do our part to restore the belief of Christ in people, and He will restore our nation!

I am familiar with those days that feel hopeless… all too familiar… I love the verse you quoted because all of the things Jesus tells them to do are things that only God can do! (healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing leprosy, etc) Only God can do it, yet He sent His people out telling them to do it. That means He expects us to go in His authority and with His power. If we fight the battles of our country in that way, knowing the battle belongs to the Lord, then there is no way we can lose! Amen! Thank you for your comment!

We definitely need to encourage each other with truth, it is very important. Truth is very important in History because if we don’t know the truth about it we forget what actually happened and then history repeats itself. This is a great reminder of that so thank you!

Thank you for your encouraging words! Yes, there is so much un-truth out there these days that focusing on the truth is instantly recognizable and – as you pointed out – we can learn from the past instead of repeating mistakes! Thank you for your comment!

I have always loved history, and I still do! I Agree that it can be boring sometimes. However, it depends on how it is being presented to you! I try to stay super engaged and try to feel what it must have been like for some of those people!

It is important to stay encouraged and encourage each other in Truth! Not only is it good to do, but it very fun to share. A big reason for it being important to share is that if we don’t get people to understand the meaning of History and the truth behind it, people will keep making the same mistakes, forgetting what happened, repeating History, and never really understand the intent behind what happened when it did.

Yes Maam, I completely agree! Thank you so much for all you are doing to help us tell those stories! May we all learn from them and be encouraged from the great things in our history, and not be forced to repeat the lessons of the bad parts… Thank you so much for all your participation and for your encouraging comment!
