Able and Mighty Men- Biographies of the Men Who Signed the Declaration of Independence was first published in 1838. Each chapter is a short biography of a signer of the Declaration. Profiles of Valor- Character Studies from the War of Independence from Character Concepts is a fabulous book that tells incredible stories of real people. This was one of my kid’s favorite books that we read aloud. I highly recommend this book.
The Fight for Freedom- True Stories of America’s War for Independence from Character Concepts is a third grade American History curriculum that my kids really enjoyed. Learn about the leaders, causes, and challenges of the Revolutionary War and meet over 30 heroes. This is a great history book for all ages.
America’s Struggle to Become a Nation from Character Concepts is a 4-6 grade curriculum covering the foundations of American independence and government. We love this one too. Can you tell we are fans of Rick & Marilyn Boyer? Told in story form, this is not the typical boring history book you are remembering. I recommend this one for all ages as well.
