Webster’s 1828 Dictionary
Why do we suggest a Dictionary? Words change over time. The 1828 Webster’s Dictionary is closer to the time of the writing of the Founder’s than any of our modern dictionaries. It’s a valuable tool for understanding the words so carefully chosen in our founding documents.
It’s important to have hard copies of books that can’t be modified. With that being said, there is an online version of this dictionary that at the time of this post creation, is true to the original. 🙂 The Online 1828 Webster’s Dictionary.
